bought these lovely tulips from ikea. but they have to die so fast.
the nothing is swiftly eating up this world. there is no shelter from it. soon my little corner will cease to exist
I had a strange dream......that I was in England, dwelling in a packed apartment, sharing a tap with so many other locals which discharged yellowish liquid called water. Then a guy I knew since my schooling days turned up unexpectedly in a yellow beetle which erh can be folded into a bicycle. He drove like he had been to UK and upon my inquiry, he explained ha he had been on an exchange program there. Then we ended in the Little India of England, passing by the Indian restaurants and hmm then a dark, eerie Chinese money changing outlet. The ladies were pretty amiable. The exchange rate was 2 Sing dollars to 1 pound (yes, I am definitely dreaming) and the lady smiled, telling me it was a good deal. I remembered frantically checking to see if those notes were counterfeit. In those lucid playbacks, the country was barren and depressing;almost a slum. Was that to tell me to forget about going there? Or have I been watching too many movies. But I remember the warm feeling i had with the virtual character in the chilly land of the Anglo-Saxons.
Yeah man! School of Rock totally rocks! Anyone has the soundtrack?
Ever wonder why the pants you bought are always too long and need hemming? Have you ever blamed yourself for being too short or fat cos you cant fit into the mass-produced clothes? Because I've lived in Singapore all my life, I never realised that there are alternatives. In Europe or N America, there are actually many different lengths for each waist size so the consumers never need to alter their garments. Here, they only bring in one size-the longest-so that it 'fits' everyone. So that they can alter it for you at $5 a piece, so that the profit margin is higher. Why am i bitching over such a trivial thing? COS I'M FED UP!! Ppl are cutting flesh off themselves to fit in when they dont have to. Everyone has a different size and why are we still demeaning our individuality?
Glastonbury Festival Anyone interested to go UK in JUNE :P ??? to see the great gigs under the sky??
I just blew $170 on formal clothes (teaching outfits) from topshop and dorothy perkins. That's the only place i can muster courage to buy those work clothes from. At least they can look cool if i put on some accesories and transform into some clubbing wear. Saw some mary-quantish 60s mod outfits and psychedelic ones but i must repress myself. There are lotsa can can dresses that Biddy bought some years ago. but I think yours is a great bargain. i have a 10% discount card after blowing so much $$$ so er guys and girls, it might not be a lot but if you happen to be driven crazy by some gorgeous slinky outfit which is sadly not on discount, make use of that card.
I've almost finished doing up my room. the walls are actually a dark pink and not red. my mistake. put up white roman blinds. but i lack a rug. pretty soon it'll be fit for all who read this blog to come for a visit. do come on CNY to save me from my relatives (pleazzzzzzzzz....). I'm so lethargic...period...red...new year...i think 2004 will be a great year. I can feel it. anyway, my previous whinings on finance is just a sum-up of 2003. no worries :P Monkey year!!!! COOL!
